Our role is to make yarn and fabric decisions easier to audit: what was requested, what was sampled, what was tested and which material reference the evidence actually supports.
Operating direction
A roadmap from descriptive language to controlled evidence
Terms such as premium, durable or easy-care are not specifications. The working roadmap replaces them with construction data, named methods, specimen conditions, acceptance criteria and document scope.
Method before claim
A result is recorded with its test method, unit, conditioning and material identification. Reports are reviewed for relevance, not simply for presence.
Reference before release
Approved shade, grain, handfeel and construction references are connected to the order and compared with the production lot.

These are stages in an individual sourcing program, not claims about corporate history.
Requirement register
The buyer and material team record mandatory composition declarations, dimensions, appearance standards and functional requirements.
Sample disposition
Review notes distinguish accepted appearance from pending technical validation and document any deviation.
Application trial
Cutting, sewing, weaving, knitting, dyeing or finishing observations are captured with the actual substrate and process settings.
Purchase release
Acceptance limits, inspection responsibility and applicable reports become part of the commercial record.

What this practice does not assume
A laboratory value does not establish field life. A passed abrasion result does not by itself establish cleanability, color stability or finishing adhesion. A color match under one illuminant may show metamerism under another. A report for one color, yarn package or finish may not cover a changed construction. These limitations are reviewed before a specification is treated as complete.
